Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand
Committed to clinical excellence, education, the promotion of research and the dissemination of information on urological topics for the benefit of the community.
The Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand (USANZ) administers the Surgical Education and Training (SET) Program in Urology through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. The society also organises Continuing Professional Development activities for members and represents the views of urologists to governments, the health sector and medical industry.
USANZ works with advocacy and support groups, such as the Cancer Councils, Kidney Australia, and the Continence Foundation and provides accurate information on urology to the media and stakeholders. To this end the society holds an Annual Scientific Meeting and publishes a newsletter, "Society News".
Furthermore, USANZ oversees some of the grants and prizes available to urologists.
