About PCOR-QLD

Welcome to the Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry – Queensland (PCOR-QLD)

PCOR-QLD is a Participating Organisation in the binational Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry – Australia and New Zealand (PCOR-ANZ) which is a centralised quality assurance project that is designed to:

      • Monitor the outcomes of prostate cancer treatment and care

      • Provide risk-adjusted, evidence-based data to clinicians, hospitals and decision-makers on prostate cancer management

      • Foster improved quality of treatment and care for men diagnosed with prostate cancer

      • Foster research leading to improvement in care and survival, ideally enabling comparisons across countries

PCOR-QLD is managed by the Australian Prostate Cancer Research Centre – Queensland (APCRC-Q) at the Queensland University of Technology (QUT)

 Funding

The Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry – Queensland (PCOR-QLD) gratefully acknowledges the funding that has been provided by the Movember Foundation  for the Registry along with the support of specialty medical societies and local state organisations.

Since 2003, the Movember Foundation has raised over $685 million and has funded over 1,000 programs globally, prioritising funding for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and physical inactivity.

The Movember Foundation aims to create a positive change for men’s health by raising awareness and educating men year-round, with a special focus on Moustaches in Movember  and MOVE in Movember .

The binational PCOR-ANZ Registry has been made possible with an initial investment of $4.5 million from the Movember Foundation .
