It’s a Bloke Thing Prostate Cancer Luncheon

Prostate Cancer does not discriminate. Each year in Australia, almost 3,300 men from all walks of life die of prostate cancer. Around 20,000 new cases of Prostate Cancer are diagnosed in Australia every year. Often an ‘unspoken’ topic amongst men, in order to reduce these devastating statistics, early detection, treatment and awareness is key.

The annual Easternwell It’s a Bloke Thing Prostate Cancer Luncheon endeavors to raise much needed funds for Prostate Cancer research and awareness programs through valued sponsorships from local businesses and community members, as well as individual attendance at the annual It’s a Bloke Thing Prostate Cancer Luncheon.

Each year our committee works to build awareness of this disease and help men to overcome their fear of the dreaded check-up. It is a bloke thing to avoid this annual appointment and also to avoid talking about the topic!

This year’s Easternwell It’s a Bloke Thing Prostate Cancer Luncheon will be held in Toowoomba on Tuesday 12 August 2014 and promises to be an informative and entertaining opportunity to talk openly about a health issue that will affect 1 in 9 men at some point in their lives*.

We invite you to become involved with the luncheon and help raise awareness of prostate cancer within our community. There are many ways that you can support this cause, including the purchasing raffle tickets or by making a tax deductable online donation today.

Every cent raised brings us a step closer to saving another life.
