'Genomic analysis of circulating cell-free DNA in plasma of metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer patients'


Dr Arun Azad is an early-career medical oncologist and translational researcher focusing on genitourinary malignancies. He has gained substantial experience in clinical, translational and laboratory research in the initial stages of his career, including completing a PhD in cell biology and playing an active role in the development of 5 investigator-initiated clinical trials.

Currently based at the British Columbia Cancer Agency, Vancouver, Canada, Dr Azad is undertaking a clinical and translational research fellowship in prostate and urological cancers under the supervision of Prof. Kim Chi. His clinical and research activities have resulted in a strong research record with 45 publications, a patent, a Poster Highlights Session at the 2014 ASCO Annual Meeting, 15 competitive prizes and awards as well as an impressive amount in competitive funding.
