Speaker(s): The Hon. Peter Dutton MP, Minister for Health and Minister for Sport Shane Solomon, Head of Health, Telstra

As the health industry continues its expansion toward becoming Australia's fastest growing industry, health sector productivity and policy supporting reform are critical.

Growing demands on the national health system are driven by Australia's ageing population and increased private health insurance membership. The growth of subsidised health services relies heavily on funding from Federal and state governments.

As an independent national organisation CEDA will provide a timely look at the Federal Government's forward health agenda and the future role of technology and innovation in delivering health services. Federal Minister for Health the Hon. Peter Dutton will provide insight into the government's health policy and to consider the future export potential of the sector. Telstra, Head of Health, Shane Solomon will analyse the role of new technologies and innovation in increasing productivity in light of constrained budgets.
