For Hospitals and Clinics
The Prostate Cancer Outcomes Registry - Queensland is an important tool to monitor and benchmark the quality of treatment and care of men diagnosed with prostate cancer in Queensland. We would ask you to encourage clinicians at your site to participate.
Interested hospitals/clinics should identify an appropriate Principal Investigator or lead clinician (for example, the Head of Urology or Radiation Oncology) who will be responsible for ensuring that hospital/clinic staff provide access to the medical records for Registry participants.
The Clinical Registry Manager for PCOR-QLD will liaise with relevant Human Research Ethics Committee/s to submit ethics applications for new sites.
Once a potential Registry participant has been identified, PCOR-QLD personnel will send a Participant Information Sheet and a letter of invitation to participate to the potential participant. Men who do not opt-out of the Registry, have provided consent for their clinical information to be collected and made available to PCOR-QLD and the binational PCOR-ANZ Registry.
PCOR-QLD personnel will visit the hospital/clinic to collect and input relevant personal and clinical details of the Registry participant into the database, at a pre-agreed time.
